Blackpool is home, so a survey here is usually a day or two away and coming back to check something is never a problem..
FY2Bispham is a five minute run for us and full of the 1930s semis where the original opening is still behind the plasterboard..
FY5Thornton-Cleveleys is regular work for us and the seafront properties there take more weather than most, which shows in the stacks..
FY6Poulton has a good stock of older cottages around the Market Place where the original openings are far bigger than people expect..
FY8A lot of Lytham and St Annes work is in larger period houses where the fireplace is a feature of the room and the detail carries the job..
FY7Fleetwood takes the weather off the estuary from two sides, so we look hard at the state of a stack there before quoting a liner..
PR4 2Kirkham has some genuinely old property in the town centre, and the fireplaces in them reward being opened up properly rather than boxed in..
PR4 3Wesham sits right next to Kirkham, so we usually cover the two together and the property types are much the same..
PR4 1Freckleton and the villages round it have a good number of houses with no chimney at all, which is where twin wall earns its money..
FY3Staining is a mix of newer estate housing with no flue at all and older village property with original openings, so both jobs come up here..
FY6 8Singleton is rural Fylde, where the fireplaces tend to be bigger and the stoves that suit them are the floor standing sort..
PR3Garstang is our furthest regular patch inland and the stone property up that way often has a chimney worth building the room around..
PR4 2Wrea Green work is mostly older cottages around the green, where what goes in has to look like it has always been there..
PR3 0Great Eccleston and the farms around it are proper multifuel country, where a stove is expected to hold in overnight..
FY6 9Hambleton sits out on the Wyre with very little shelter, so flue terminal height and cowl choice matter more there than most places..
PR1Preston is a straight run down the M55 for us, and its Victorian terraces have some of the best original openings on our patch..
Most of the coast is inside half an hour of us, so it is still worth a call.
